Pop Quiz Time!

Your roommate opens the door at 10:30 PM on a Tuesday night. It is January, and about 35 F (about 2 C) out. Plus wind chill. Do you let your roommate take off her coat before you try to borrow her screwdriver and engage her in conversation about her fifteen hour day? (In that order, mind: hardware loan, then social discourse.)

[Poll #1330799]

The day that I declined to go into as I took my coat off included: misadventures at the NIH ("I need to see S. about an extended visitor's badge?" "She's out. She'll be back... later"), being late to work (see: misadventures at...), missing gloves, and a two-hour chorus practice where, after a three-minute warmup, the chorus director wasted half an hour on announcements. Some of which were redundant, and included digressions. The abuse of my "fun" time when I am tired and cold is making me reconsider community chorus.

The good news is that hump day is tomorrow, and I'm already done with the crazy-making part of my week. Mostly.

Evening continuing ed classes (http://www.faes.org/graduate_school.htm). I'm really excited. It's not leading to a degree, but it's going to get me back in the habit of studying. I hope. :-)

I graduated in December 2006 and have been at my current job since last February.

Ah, looks cool! Are you thinking of grad school in the near or not-so-near future?

I graduated in December 2006 and have been at my current job since last February.

I was pretty sure it was something like that -- just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something, like you starting grad school in January or who knows what! ;-)

Enjoy the class!!
