ase | Ants In My Socks

I lived in a basement apartment for three years, with the kitchen trash can 3' from the door, and never once had a problem with ants. (Spiders, now, were a completely different story.) This morning I am enjoying the view from my three story walkup, and what should be pilfering my refuse but a little black stream of ants. Since they're eating the unspeakable gunk stuck to the wall, I'm inclined to let them have a go at it. (My roommates are fine people - okay, one of them is fine - but compared to some RN ex-roommates they're slobs. I'm used to being the messiest person in the house by a large margin!) Also, a savage attack with a mop and 409 just revealed the depth of their infiltration.
