Bad-Footing Monday
Cool: garage sale victory. A bed lamp and kitchen noisemaker are mine! CSPAN and I can once more bond over Sunday pancakes and talk shows.
Not cool: dead water heater, atop previously scheduled electrical work; 20 minutes of cajoling the library wi-fi into doing what it's designed to do. Mostly. The beginnings of what may be COBRA shenanigans. Learning that people who said they'd pass your resume on didn't bother doing so for a month. Had I known it wasn't going anywhere, I could've rewritten a really lousy cover letter. I am irked by contractors as I push into the uncertain waters of job hunting: month two.
