I gave up on sleep when I glanced between the blinds and noticed the sky was navy blue. Instead I looked up the time for sunrise, grabbed my camera and burned through my memory card again. This could become a habit. It was cool at dawn. I almost went back for a jacket. And the light was incredible.

The current combination of digital photography with image editing and manipulation software is wonderfully powerful. It's possible to do some fairly radical things to an image with a few keystrokes, if you have the shortcuts ready. It opens up all sorts of possibilities, especially for visual/digital artists.
If you think the stuff I'm doing is good, try punching "photo journals" into a search-by-interest, or look at
