Whee!

I can gleefully check "drive a pickup truck" off the bucket list. BTW, way more fun than the first time in a car, because I could totally see the end of the Tacoma's flatbed as I backed out of the parking space. When I can see where the vehicle ends, I am way more confident I'm not about to bash into anything. (Like, you know, other cars.) I mingle relief and regret when I say I didn't get a chance to cruise one of the really steep hills in the pickup. On the one hand, challenge; on the other hand, rollback on steep grades in a pickup.

Roommate Number Three says a Tacoma isn't a real pickup truck, but it's bigger than anything I've driven before, so I'm calling this evening a win.

If it's got a flatbed, it's a pickup. I learned to drive on them, and they can be a lot of fun -- except for parallel parking.
