Oh the work will get done, I only should have gotten up last night to finish it - but slept right through the alarm. *sighs* so there goes the chance to have a walk in the beautiful weather.

I like how #11 turned out, but then, I think blue is the best color in the world. The colors are wrong for a proper Father-ly icon, but that hasn't stopped me yet.

BTW, everyone needs to read the Shards of Honor/Barrayar duology. I say this in the highly biased voice of someone who read it in her mid teens and may be a little insensible on the topic.

Interesting phrasing. I wish I knew your likes better, so I could say the appropriate things. There's romance, and there's culture shock, and transparent prose wrapped around flashes of wit. Bujold is very readable, though I am less fond of her fantasy than her SF.

As for my tastes, I believe some of her work was described to me as SF mixed with military, which appeals to me a lot because I'm into American history, particularly government, and particularly military. I don't go for straight fantasy, and I don't go for straight romance, but from what little prose I've absorbed from these icons *g* and the fact that you and
