I am glad my roommate's having a poll-watching party tomorrow night, because socializing is good, and because it means she will have people other than me to talk at, but at 10 PM I am taking a shower and knocking off for the night. I don't think anyone will concede Tuesday night, and I'm already watching all political blogs, bulletins, news reports, and related media in 5-second headline bursts. Then my brain overloads and goes back to assembling the Perfect Work Mix. Right now, the ( not freshmen mix )
is mostly satisfactory, but needs Savage Garden between Chasez and McNarland. No, I don't have any musical shame.
I also sort of want to make hot chocolate with soy milk and bonus alcohol to enjoy during my elections-inspired meltdown. (Okay, there's other stuff, but straw, camel - you know how this one goes.) I am restrained from my bright and beautiful image of post-election morning chocolate break - with booze! - by the disappointing knowledge that Wednesday is not, in fact, a national holiday.
