I read (past tense) fanfic, but I avoid it these days. Sorry to read that the last Novik wasn't up to snuff. I've been waiting for it to be issued in paperback to go with the rest of the series, so I've not had a chance to read it yet.
Seems like most of the fiction I've read this year has been wanting something or other for me. The stack of novels waiting to be ready keeps growing, but the books I finish are nonfiction.
