Also, use and abuse of electronics. Yesterday I returned the $35 super-basic DVD player I sort of hated and replaced it with a $30-from-Craigslist HDMI upcoverting DVD player. Which I then hooked into the 19" TV player that's at least eight years old. Morals of this story: first, craigslist is the best flea market. Second, piecemeal electronics upgrade leads to ironic electronic patchwork.

Look, It's Not Like There's Any Planets Exploding Or Something

Working on 5 page 'flu A '09 outbreak paper. Which really needs to be done, um, yesterday. So far, I have one page of notes and 12 14 or 15 tabs. Wish me luck as I contemplate shouting "KHAAAAAN!" every half hour or so to improve the tenor of the evening.

For the record, tonight's work playlist draws heavily on hip-hop crossover '90s hits and Savage Garden.
