Seven geeky icons, with (what a surprise!) a biology/biochemistry bent. Please comment and credit if you take. Feedback always appreciated. 3 and 4 are from one of my non-lj friends; 1 and 5 from the science jokes website.

I saw a T-shirt once that had Caffeine, Theobromine, and I forget what the 3rd one was.

Probably ethanol.

Is that (points to icon) bone?

They're actually florescent-stained microtubules. Florescent microscopy is awesome.

no, it wasn't ethanol -- it was another of the chemical cousins of caffeine/theobromine. Ah well.

Fluorescent microscopy is indeed cool. They did a lot of stuff with GFP and YFP upstairs.
