I Like Cars!

aseThis weekend I did nothing but drive. It was wonderful. While I was doing nothing in several major suburbs, I also: packed and ditched at goodwill six bags of clothes and shoes, as well as a coffee maker and a hot-pot; room-shopped on Craigslist like mad; re-enacted the highway scene from Clueless on I-370 (with 1,000 times less screaming, honking cars, and spontaneous roadside sex); finished a full game of Settlers of Catan (running joke in my life: I have been not-finishing Settlers for years); and took a Sunday afternoon nap. Doing nothing is exhausting.
My goal is to sign a lease and be almost or already done moving by the time I'm done house-sitting (and I'm going to take away the car of the next person to suggest I should move to upper county, and see how they like them lousy busing apples) (not that I'm bitter and rageful or anything) so I don't have to go back to my much-hated commute, but I am going to be so, so spoiled by having instant car (just add driver) by then.
