Tonight I made triple-chocolate cookies. The recipe makes about 36 cookies, of which I ate five or six (counting batter), and includes 2 tsp of instant coffee. Coffee is normally on my list of forbidden substances, but I thought, "how bad could 2 tsp / 36 cookies, times six, be?"

Well. This must be what speed feels like.

Also, I neglected the sugar boost from those half-price Cadbury eggs. I fail at prudence tonight.

Has the Amazon rank drama been named yet? Will it go down in history as Amazon Rank? Or maybe AmaRank? It's an unfortunate thing that most common drama derivatives sound like single-breasted female warriors should be swooping in to kill all offenders.

It is not resolved. Recent version is "a glitch", but it also appears that they were doing odd sorts of filtering by category/keyword and other things, and the result was this muddle. They're not doing themselves any favors by being behind the times in dealing with it, and their PR people need to be replaced pronto. It's pretty close to total insanity -- "Heather has Two Mommies" is adult?

Last thing I saw last night (am just awake now) was a NYTimes article that blamed it on metatag or sorting choices by a French employee that affected 57,000+ books. (You could probably find it in NYTimes.com)

Their ability to handle the PR is still dismal.
