aseI am super glad I blew off anything like homework this afternoon, because I walked out of work filled with the anguished haterade of someone acutely aware she has a late paper, hasn't learned from experience, failure as a human being, etc, and after errands and a series of snacks masquerading as dinner decided I wasn't a complete failure as a human being. Then I checked the ol' blogroll and debated the value of beating my head against the futility of the Sliding Scale of Racefail. The current debate* is structured in a way that makes me think that, by opening my mouth, I lose. So instead of engaging and getting drubbed by both sides, I'm going to say: my silence isn't assent, and I am going to focus my energy on things I think will be more productive, like coursework-related groveling.

In other news, the WisCon program schedule is up, and I tried to breaknorabombay's eardrum when she pointed out the Sunday Cherryh panel, and I have pasta with meat sauce for lunch tomorrow. Pineapple for dessert. The last lecture of the semester is tomorrow. I used my tax return to pay off my littlest, highest interest student loan, and have been considering framing the "paid in full" letter since it arrived last week. This says something about my priorities in life.
