Knives Out (2017)
Jan. 8th, 2023 09:37 pmTonight I watched Knives Out. It was a very me movie viewing. First: watching a movie five years after everyone else. Second: appreciating most of the cinematography, scoring, and actor cameos, but probably missing several important cameos. Third: moderately hung up on the medication twist's real-life plausibility, and whether Marta would still get nailed for a med error by the state nursing board, because she "should have" read the labels.
Though - now that she's inherited the house, the liquid assets, and Harlan's intellectual property, keeping her nursing license active may be less critical to Marta's future life plans.

(Helpful, I know.)

But once you start pulling the thread suspending disbelief, there's a lot to unravel. People really like the Knives Out message, but the structure could be tighter.
