This Is Why You Can't Have Nice Things!
Feb. 10th, 2009 06:57 pmMissed bus. Augh. Agonizing du jour: cameras round umpteen,
class presentation. Strategic considerations for presentation: you
don't want to be the first, you definitely don't want to be
last, but research time when you're feeling a little like the country
mouse is a good thing. March 11th is the day after Purim; I think
presenting with a hangover actually sounds quite pleasant. I think I
know which camera I want, and then I remember: spinny wheel
and viewfinder and clicky buttons.
My coworkers think I should get a car already. I think they're on to
something. And then I go back to drooling over cameras.

Oh man YES. I was shocked to find, when I did our budget, that car expenses (we have one car we actually use, and a second that we don't use but pay insurance for Just In Case) were our second largest expense, second only to airline travel expenses (and that only because we have two sets of parents who live on the other side of the country who demand visits, and friends who live on the other side of the country who keep getting married :) ).
