I am taking a break from mind-numbing lecture review. There are eight days until the final, and after tomorrow night I will be about two lectures behind on reading and review. But some of this is really basic, so I can focus on the parts that are blatant and cruel memorization, more difficult material, or new to me. If I never hear another lecture about a restriction enzyme ever again, I'd be really okay with that. And apparently I have finally absorbed the fundamental rules of Hardy-effin'-Weinberg equilibrium. Application is still going to be an adventure, but that's why I put in a leave request for next Monday.

By six minutes and twenty-two seconds into the first episode of Leverage I was already a little in love with Parker and Alec. I know, you're all shocked.

This morning M. took a personal day - I renewed my vow to never date long distance before catching the late bus - and tonight I made pancakes, which we ate with M.'s vanilla soy ice cream and caramel topping. Except for the part where I didn't do a bit of laundry, or get any GRE studying accomplished, or pack my lunch, and stayed up past my bedtime, a successful evening.

I also want peace on Earth and goodwill toward men, and maybe some fiction that is awesome. However, gender-bending intersectional postcolonial comedy with large explosions is, um, hard to come by.

3.) It's Christmas card time! Or maybe a nicely signed "my 2008 in 1 page or less" holiday letter. And me lousy at keeping my ADDRESSES.XLS file current.
